I know I was an adult (or close to it) when my Aunt Ruth met Larry - but I can't remember actually meeting him. Maybe because (like I'm sure for everyone) it just feels like I've known him all my life. Even though I can't remember the exact moment – I'm confident in saying I loved him from the start. Larry was able to see my worth at a time when my chosen path and decisions had masked it well. He always made me feel like I was his favorite person in the world. He was genuine and generous in everything he did and said. I'm very grateful to have known him and to be able to take his smile, laugh, hugs, and warmth with me wherever I go. Nothing I write seems to adequately express what an absolute treasure I thought him to be, how much I will miss him, and how much my heart aches for you all.

I knew Larry many years ago. R. T. , my father tried to help Larry all he could when he was a teen living in West Jefferson. They stayed in touch for a while after Larry returned from the Navy. I remember him as a kind person. Your family is in my prayers.
