Byron L. Markle
Byron L. Markle, the 20 year old beloved son of Dina J. Seifert of York, was taken away too young on Friday, September 9, 2016 in a tragic auto accident in what he'd call his second home, Penn State. Byron's father is Barry E. Markle of Hazelton, PA.
While growing up and being raised by a single mother, Byron had a few male role models in his life. His "Pap" (Daniel Seifert, Sr.), was his strongest supporter in every aspect of his life. It was well known at any sporting event Byron played that if you saw Byron, Pap and Meems were sure to be there! Byron loved his Pap and Meems (Sandy Seifert), just as much as he loved his mom! His uncle, Dan Seifert, Jr., Matt Ferree and Brian Litvak, would become the three men to also fill spots as role models in his life.
Byron had no siblings, but he had many, many "brothers", or those who he claimed to be his "brothers", including Dalton Childs, Andy Stewart, John Bagnall, Ben Doorn, Clinton Bohn, Louis Litvak and Matt Shive. He also had many to claim as "sisters", two being Lauren Litvak and Briana Frost and many more to list. Byron has also to cherish a great aunt, Susan Swartz, and Aunt Alicia and extremely close cousins, Kayla, Nicole, Troy and Harley; and his bae, Morgan Johnston.
Byron graduated from Dallastown High School in 2014. He was an avid golfer. For many years he did not know what sport he wanted to play. He enjoyed, but did not excel in, baseball and basketball. One day his Pap took him out to golf and from that moment on his life would change forever. He could be seen playing golf in any weather from sun up to sun down. Once graduating from Dallastown, Byron would enter Penn State University in State College and major in Professional Golf Management. This past summer, Byron had the privilege to go to Martha's Vineyard and meet many celebrities, including President Obama.
Byron had a passion in life and that was to make people laugh and to make friends. He cherished everyone he encountered and made the most of each day. If you had the chance to know Byron, then you had a best friend forever. Not a day went by that Byron and his mom did not talk or text and say, "I love you more than mostest".
Byron's true loves in his life were his mom, Pap, Meems, dog, Lexie and his new kittie, Kittie Markle and of course his friends.
"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die". Rest in peace my baby boy.
