Candy Sue Reed

YORK Candy Sue (Seitz) Reed, 43, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at her home. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Reed. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank T. Hawkins, Sr. of the New Covenant Community Church and the Rev. Dave J. Dixon of Victory Gospel Ministries. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Reed was born on February 16, 1970, in York, a daughter of William E. Seitz, Sr. and the late Gloria A. (Sleeger) Seitz. She graduated from York Vo-Tech in 1988, having studied printing. She was a printer for the YGS Group, York, having worked there for 20 years. She was the first woman in the United States to become accredited to operate the Kmori press. Candy enjoyed sky diving, parasailing, Bingo, and spending time in the mountains. She leaves a son, Chad L. Reed of York; two brothers, Dennis Sleeger and his wife Linda and Mearl Sleeger and his wife Denise, all of York; a sister, Tina Sleeger Dellinger and her husband Larry of York; a grandson Jayden Franklin of Dover; a granddaughter that is on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327 to help defray funeral services costs. Condolences may be shared at geiple.com
