Captain Conard Obituary

Captain Thomas James Conard

Captain Thomas James Conard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He made his final flight to heaven after a brief and valiant battle with cancer on July 8, 2021, at the age of 67.

He was born to James and Mary Conard on August 31, 1953, in Lebanon, PA. After graduating from high school, he attended Texas Tech University, where he met his wife, Roni Jean Haxton, on a blind date. Together, they had two children, Christopher and Stephany. He was a grandfather to Rocco and June Conard, and James Wallace.

Tom loved being a grandfather, but he lived to fly. He spent his career traveling the world and mentoring his co-pilots. He was a skilled ham radio operator and enjoyed sending and listening to morse code. WA3IKQ SK. He loved dogs and especially his "pandemic collie puppy," Reilly.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, between 1 to 4 pm [come and go] at New Creation Community Church, 3005 Emig Mill Rd, Dover, PA 17315. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Keystone VHF radio club [P.O. Box 20143 York, PA 17402] on his behalf.

I read about Tom´s passing and wanted you to know that I´m thinking and praying for you and your family. It brought back good memories of making crafts at your home for CSY´s great craft fairs! So very sorry for your loss.
