Carolyn Becker Obituary

Carolyn Y. (Frey) Becker, 54, passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Manor Care Health Services-South York. She was the loving wife of Ray L. Becker of York for 18 years on March 12. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, in York, with the Rev. Tom A. Gilman and the Rev. William Farrell officiating. Viewings will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Becker was born April 6, 1952, in York. She was the daughter of Eugene E. and Mary M. (Busser) Frey of Dallastown. Mrs. Becker was previously employed as a nurse's assistant at York Hospital for 29 years, and at Colonial Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was most recently employed as a nurse's assistant at Manor Care Health Services-South York. Mrs. Becker was a member of Manchester Assembly of God. She enjoyed camping and loved her family. Mrs. Becker also leaves her son, Michael of York; a daughter, Amanda of Pittsburgh; a grandson, Steven of Dillsburg; a stepdaughter, Larae, and a step granddaughter, Ashanay, both of Orlando, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 North Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.

carolyn was a true friend that i made while she was in the hospital. it was my pleasure to have known her and to have taken care of her. just wish her granddaughter could have been there at the end. you are all in my thoughts. i will never forget her.
