David Ettinger Obituary
York - David L. Ettinger, Sr., 81, entered into rest on Saturday May 15, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Delores I. (Smith) Ettinger.
Dave was born June 29, 1939 in York. The son of the late Charles Edward Ettinger and Elizabeth Catherine (Keiser) Mackel. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Shipley and later was a boiler maker.
Dave is survived by six children: David L. Ettinger, Jr. and wife Teresa, Catherine M. Ettinger, Daniel L. Ettinger and wife Liz, Carlyn M. Spangler and husband Allen, Carolyn M. Harrington and husband Matthew, Leen M. Ettinger, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two sisters Barbara Latshaw and Doris Shaub. He was preceded in death by three grandsons: Denny, Nicholas and David L. lll.
A viewing will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday May 20, 2021 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave. York. There will be no services. Burial will be private.

you started out going to school with we both had our children the same years. and have been a family friend since 1978. It's been so awesome. Being a friend of the family. Watching the family grow. Between the different jobs and the kids growing up. So sorry for your loss my condolences to the whole family

Dave he was a great guy, I remember going to there house to play with there kids when dad and mom went there to play cards, then they moved closer and we just hang out a lot, we had great times there, I will miss his jokes he told us as kids. to all the Ettinger kids, just know that he is with his wife now and my mom and dad bet they are playing card, I will keep you all in my prays, RIP my friend, Bea Gladfelter
