I was fortunate to have shared some of my high school football career. In my younger impressionable years, I thought him tough, but he had to be strong for us not only as a coach, leader, but also a mentor. That memory of him will last me a lifetime with .any experiences and stories to share. I would personally encourage the family, Mike and the York High School community. He taught you that there is always more....DON'T QUIT!

To the Graybill family: I am so sorry to hear that your father has passed away. I have know Dave Graybill since I was 6 years old and he used to come around to the York Suburban elementaries playgrounds during the summer as a recreation director for Spring Garden Township. At least i think that was his title. I got to know him even better when Mike played football for Suburban and I was the athletic trainer and later an assistant coach. We always took the time to talk with each other and speak about the good old days. When my two sons were at Dallastown and played sports, I couldn't wait to go to a York High game just to say hi to Dave. He was a friend and a mentor and I will miss him. Rest in peace Dave.
