Diego Rivera Obituary
Spring Garden Township - Diego Rivera, Jr., age 41, of Spring Garden Township, York, died at 2:12 PM, on Tuesday, July 13, at York Hospital.
Born January 31, 1980, in York, he was a son of Diego Rivera, Sr., of York and Cathy S. (Warfel) Damen of Daytona Beach, Florida. He worked in automotive sales, was a member of Girrard Athletic Association, and was an avid New York Giants fan and had two beloved dogs, Flex and Thor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rivera is survived by a daughter, Justice Rivera; a sister, Santana Rivera; a brother, Darrian Rivera; his maternal grandmother, Frances Warfel; his paternal grandmother, Rayda Rivera; a stepmother, Randi Rivera, the mother of his daughter, Heather Spotts.
A memorial service is scheduled for 6:00 PM, Monday, July 19, 2021, at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Home and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with the Rev. Domingo Shriver officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

I met Diego in 2018 when I bought my Hyundai Tucson. He was super friendly. I dealt with him a few times when I had service on my car and he was so pleasant. He definitely made an impression on me that I will never forget.

I was shocked and sad to see the passing away of Diego. I met him when I bought my car at Hyundai. He was very kind and seemed like such a nice man, someone who would be a great friend. I am sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss of Diego. I knew Diego a long time. My son Michael Messersmith and Diego were best friends growing up around Hartman Street. Diego was also very pleasant whenever I saw him when he worked for Mazda. He also gave me a hug. I´m thinking of his family at this difficult time. May God grant you peace at this time.
