I met and sometimes ate lunch with Donna Rae at Hannah Penn Junior High School. Later, in the early 70's, we worked together at Tower of Pizza.

Gosh, I'm shocked and saddened. I went into the subway today and couldn't believe what has happened. I spoke to Donna often and had even entrusted her once to hang onto a gift card I purchased for a homeless man named Charlie that goes there often. She told me she'd hang onto it for him and give it to him when she saw him in there next. I told her "I know you will Donna, you are extremely trustworthy". I called a few weeks later and asked for her, when she came to the phone, she knew exactly who I was and said Charlie got the gift card. She was a hard worker and I pray she is in the Kingdom of Heaven now where she belongs.

My sincere condolences to Donna Rae's family. I knew her from visiting Subway. I always enjoyed chatting with her. I was amazed that she remembered the names of many customers. I will miss her very much.

What heartbreaking news. I remember hearing about the story when it first broke, before names were released, but had no idea it was them. My father was childhood friends with Donna Rae and that friendship continued into their adulthood. As a little girl I remember frequent family get togethers and BBQs and often asking if my parents, sister, and I could all visit Donna Rae's house where we would have a blast with her doing hair, nails, and makeup. And she always had the funniest jokes. Lots of good memories were made with her and childhood would not have been the same without this beautiful woman. Rest easy Donna Rae. You will be very deeply missed.

Donna Rae was a dear friend of mine for over 45 years. Although we didn't stay in touch, as often happens, I've thought of her many times over the years and always with great memories. We had such good times growing up. My heart is saddened by the loss of such a beautiful person. She will forever live within my heart and memories! Rest in peace my dear friend!

Donna Rae was not only a devoted employee for us for the past 5 1/2 years but she was a member of our Subway family. She was a joy to work with and loved to work. Customers as well as employees always enjoyed her smile and passion for her job. She was the best!! On behalf of the entire Subway family/team, she will be missed dearly most importantly as our friend. Every day that we worked with her was a joy and delight. We love you and miss you, Donna Rae.
