Earl L. Hansford Jr.

YORK Earl L. (Jr.) Hansford, 61, entered into rest on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at 9:45pm at his home with his wife Sandra, with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage on January 4, 2009, and other family members by his side. Earl was born on July 3, 1947, in York, to George Hansford and the late Francis (Steinkamp) Hansford. Earl was a machinist for over 40 years and a member of the 13th Ward Shiloh Legions and Hawks Club. Earl also served his country in the United Stated Army for 2 years. In addition to his loving wife, Earl leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Melissa Walton and husband, Greg of Lancaster County; father, George Hansford and wife, Carol of Manchester; two sisters, Barb and Stella Hansford of York; one brother, John Hansford and wife, April of Craley; two nieces, four nephews and a host of friends. Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Francis Hansford; a brother, Jimmy Hansford; and a sister, Connie Lewis.
