Edward Broederdorf Obituary

Edward A. Broederdorf YORK Edward A. Broederdorf, 56, died Thursday, August 21, 2003 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Helen T. (Cross) Broederdorf, to whom he was married for nine years. A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2003 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday at the funeral chapel. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, of St. Paul's (Red Run) UCC. Mr. Broederdorf was born May 1, 1947 in Elgin, Ill., to Margaret (Gallagher) Broederdorf of Crystal Lake, Ill, and the late Edward A. Broederdorf, Sr. He was employed as a Sales Representative for Mapal, Inc., in New Jersey. He was a loving and caring father and friend. He was a coach for Kelly's Inn Soccer Team in York. Mr. Broederdorf is survived by three sons, Scott E., Christopher J., and Jacob E. Broederdorf, all of York; one daughter, Stacy L. Broederdorf of York; five brothers, Les A. and John R. Broederdorf, both of Crystal Lake, Ill., Jim T. Broederdorf of Mountain Home, Alas., Roger L. Broederdorf, of Ladysmith, Wis., and Ken S. Broederdorf of McHenry, Ill.; four sisters;, Edith M. Graening of Fargo, ND., Linda L. Coss of Woodstock, Ill., Ruth A. Broederdorf, of Aledo, Texas, and Karen S. Miller, of Johnsburg, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.

Scott and Stacy I owe a lot to Ed he was of yorks finest human being that I ever met, we spent many days coaching at EYC baseball and basketball. He did a lot for the org, and was a great,father, leader, and friend, my family the cruz's send our most condolescence and deepest sympathy, he will never be forgotten by me my fam, and all who share with him. May God keep him,and may he rest in heavenly peace. thank you Ed,and family.
