Edward Jarrett Obituary

Edward L. Jarrett, 56, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at the Hanover Hospital. Born on September 29, 1959, in St. Petersburg, Fla., he was the son of Peggy (Hurley) Stanley of Bumpus, Va., and the late Jack L. Jarrett. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver throughout his lifetime. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Peggy; daughters, Jackie M. Anthony and husband, Brian of York, and Ashley N. Jarrett and fiancé, Dustin Bream of Hanover; sons, Kevin E. Jarrett and wife, Kelly of York, James "Jimmy" L. Hatfield and wife, Brandi of Gettysburg, and Billy N. Hatfield and wife, Melissa of Carlisle; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Dreama Susan of Miffleton, and Patty Baumgardner of Florida; and brothers, John Jarrett of Florida and James Jarrett of Virginia. He was preceded by his father, Jack Jarrett and stepfather, Andrew Stanley.
A viewing will be on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc.,822 E. Market St., York, PA 17403. The Celebration of Life Services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors performed by the Veterans Honor Guard. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.

Not sure why but I felt the need to write here. I miss you everyday and so do the kids. They talk about you all the time and constantly talk about the memories we shared together and you with them. We are finally taking them to Florida to meet family and see where you were born. We love and miss you everyday Dad <3

I knew ed for a short amount of time. He was very straight foward about his steelers lol. It was a fun time always when we went to the nursing home! He always had a smile every time we went in. God rest your soul ed. Thank you for serving our country!
