Edwin P. Massoth

HANOVER Edwin Paul Massoth, 94, formerly of York, passed peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Columbia Cottage. He was the loving husband of 65 years of Janet (Reiver) Massoth, who passed May 8, 2011. Born August 3, 1919, in New Rochelle, N.Y., he was the son of the late Harry Paul and Edna Pauline (Wulp) Massoth. Mr. Massoth was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII. He was employed for the majority of his life by J.E. Baker Co., followed by employment with the Commonwealth of PA as a surplus purchasing agent. His memberships include Friends of the Library at Martin Memorial Library in York, The Purchasing Agent Association and Junior Achievement, where he was a mentor. Edwin enjoyed a great book and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his daughters, Claudia M. Hudson, Hanover, Nora Goodwin, Stroudsburg, and Mandy Giuliani, Ardsley; grandchildren, Stefano, Nicholas and Daniel Giuliani and Derek D. Arnold; and great -grandchildren, Cooper and Duncan Arnold and Joseph and Drea Giuliani. There will be no public viewing. Services will be private.
