Eugene J. Lamparter, Jr.

Dover - Eugene J. Lamparter, Jr., 73, entered into rest at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born December 2, 1947 in Dover, he was a son of Doris V. (Eisenhart) Lamparter of Dover and the late Eugene J. Lamparter, Sr.

Eugene graduated from Dover High School and worked as a general contractor and farmer.

He was a lifetime member of East Berlin VFW Post #8896. Eugene was an avid turkey hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed country and blue grass music and loved to dance.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by four brothers, Curtis L. Lamparter, Robert A. Lamparter and Raydean "George" Lamparter, all of Dover and Scott L. Lamparter of Carlisle; numerous nieces and nephews; and companion of eight years, Linda Zinn-Myers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Eugene's funeral at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. There will be viewings from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. N. Patrick Teaford, pastor of St. David's E.C. Church, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Melanoma Foundation, 8929 University Center Lane, Suite 202, San Diego, CA, 92122.
