Glenn C. Hughes, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in Providence Place Assisted Living, Dover.
He was the owner / operator of Capital Coolers, Inc., Harrisburg. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, ice skating, skiing, and especially enjoyed traveling the world.
Glenn was born in Newberry Twp., to the late Herman and Daisy (Arnold) Hughes. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Shank) Hughes; his son, Glenn Hughes, II; and siblings, Elmer, Lester, Walter, Claire, Esther, Harold, Ruth, Carl, and Marion.
He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Costa of Lemoyne; siblings, Margaret Weaver of Dover, Mearl Hughes of Dover, Marie Burgess of Dover, and Eugene Hughes of York; two grandsons, Bertran David Walton, IV and Sean M. Walton; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016, in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
