James Loder Obituary

AIRVILLE James R. Loder, 58, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at home surrounded by his family, dachshunds "Tiff" and "Lily", and with the support and guidance of Memorial Hospice Care of York. He was the husband of Barbara K. (Warner) Loder ,to whom he was married 38 years on April 25, 2014. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cross Roads Cemetery. Born September 4, 1955, in Hanover, a son of the late Mabel C. (Albright) and George W. Loder, Sr., he was a maintenance and grounds worker at Bryn Mawr School in Maryland. Prior to working at Bryn Mawr, he was a contractor and skilled builder. James was a member of Muddy Creek Trout Unlimited and enjoyed fishing trips to Canada and collecting baseball cards. He loved spending time working in his yard and being with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Loder is survived by a son, Shawn J. and wife, Christina Loder of Craley; a daughter, Kristie R. and husband, Mark Krohn of Windsor; five grandchildren, Rachel, Abigail, Kaiden, Oakley, and Alaska; 10 brothers, William, Donald, Terry, Raymond, Albert, George, Gary, Dave, Paul, and John Loder; and five sisters, Dorothy Beaverson, Grace Blouse, Marty Haugh, Margaret Mutzabaugh, and Tuddy Nalls. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Butch, and Richard Loder; and a sister, Mary Loder. 2020... it has been six years and people say things will get better and it has not. It seems every little thing in life reminds me of u. Its such a shame. I can not even walk into your home without tears in my eyes. And to walk in your room to see Oakleys picture still hanging up. Everything is still in place. For the most part. Plenty of things have been taken or moved. But to sum it up you are truly missed and you would really love my fire ball of a little girl Alaska. We will come see you 6/12

Jim,
I don't even know where to begin. You have been a part of my life for the past 17 years, and i love you like you were my own dad. Through the good times and bad you were always there unconditionally. You and i had a bond that nobody could break. I'm grateful that Kaiden carries your name, and only hope that we can raise him to be as great of a man as his pap was. You are going to be missed very much. We will always love you.

To the father I never had,
I am glad to be apart of your loving family.... I will remember all the good times we had. It is very special to me that I live in a home that was touched by your hands . To my father I was there for you and did for you I stood by your side threw all my life every task you asked of me I completed for you and even at the end you only had one thing for me left to do and that was to get you home so you could be there surrounded by family and friends until the end. This last task you had ask of me was the biggest one of all and to be able to complete it for you was truely my fathers day gift to you.
