James Allen Nickol, 38, passed on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the York Hospital.
Born on November 28, 1977, in York, he was the son of the late James Wm. Nickol, Jr. and Tammy Jean (Smith) Nickol of Dover.
James was an avid fisherman. He was great with children, especially his niece.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy; a niece, Natalie Reilly; a paternal grandmother, Miriam Nickol; and a host of family. He was preceded by his father; a brother, Jeremy Wm. Nickol; and a sister, Tanya Joy Nickol.
The Celebration of Life Services will be at a later date.
Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family.

Tammy, Natalie, Krissy and family my heart goes out to you. A lot of good times. James had a great sense of humor, and was great with the kids. Usually he was always laughing and joking. It breaks my heart, but I know he will be greeted into the next life by people he loved. James you will be missed.

Through the good and the bad, we have always been friends. We fought like brother and sister at times, yet we made each other laugh so hard our faces hurt. I was 13 and you were 16 when we met, and you saw the good in me even when I didn't see it in myself back then. As we got older, I always saw the good in you even when you doubted yourself. Life just isn't going to be the same without you. I will never forget you or any of the crazy times we had together in our 22 years of friendship. The only piece of mind I can grasp is that you are together with your sister again. I know how much you loved her, and your Mom, and your niece and your girlfriend. Watch over them. Rest in peace. See you again someday...

Even though I didn't know you personally, only through fb and we talked alot at times, I find my heart aching cause I felt like I really did know you in person, I still can't beleive we will not talk anymore,I wish I could of helped you more but I know you have no more struggles and I hope and pray for you that you are truly at peace. Fly high my fb buddy, I will miss you deeply and everyday!
