Jerome Shinsky Obituary
York, PA - Jerome John Shinsky, 85 years old, passed on to the care of his heavenly father on May 22, 2021. He was born in Amherst, Ohio on December 20, 1935 to his father Joseph P. Shinsky, and his Mother, Rose Shinsky. He had two siblings Anzelma and Oliver Shinsky.
He was a recipient of the Purple Heart while serving in the U. S. Army and after his service, worked for many years as an auto and truck mechanic and a carpenter. Due to an injury playing basketball, he found his way as a salesman and manager for the Independent Order of Foresters which moved his family from Ohio to Central Maryland in 1974. Overtime, He and his wife, Loyanne, moved to Riverbend North Carolina where he worked on his golf game, and eventually back to Ashland Ohio where they built their lifelong dream of a Log Cabin.
Health issues brought Jerome and his wife to York Pennsylvania in 2012 to live with their son, Anthony.
Jerome is survived by his wife of 63 years, Loyanne Shinsky, two daughters, Debra A. Montgomery of Zion Illinois, Michelle M. Studnicky of Severna Park Maryland, and a son, Anthony J. Shinsky of York Pennsylvania. Jerome had 12 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and 2 great grand stepchildren.
Following cremation, a private graveside service will held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Had some great times at the Shinsky Family reunions in Amherst Ohio -- especailly the "After Party" at Ollies house with paratents playing cards and kids in the pool.
