I came to know John when he joined my art class at the New Freedom Senior Center. He was charming and witty, but took his painting seriously . He became an accomplished artist and it was fun to chat with him at art shows where he often won prizes. John saw the beauty in everyday life and brought joy to those around him. His paintings are a tangible reminder of the special person he was and how much he enjoyed this life. To Joan and all his family I send my deepest sympathies. He will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
