Joseph Kline Obituary
Manchester - Joseph H. Kline, 82, of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Spiritrust Lutheran in York. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha (Bretz) Miller Kline.
Joseph was born August 14, 1935 in York and was the son of the late Roland H. and Roberta J. (Watters) Kline and the step-son of the late Henry G. Heller.
He graduated from William Penn High School in 1953 and from Millersville State Teachers College in 1958. He taught Biology at Northeastern High School in Manchester where he was the head of the Science Department and served as the Wrestling Coach. He was an Eagle Scout and worked many summers at Camp Tuckahoe in Dillsburg. After retirement from teaching, he began a career as a wood carver and he and his wife, Martha founded "Kline's Carving" in Manchester where they taught carving. Joseph earned many blue ribbons for his carvings.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kline of Nanticoke, MD; his sister, Mary Ellen (Heller) Lynch of Green Valley, AZ, and his nephews, Roger "Skip" Lynch, and David Andrew Lynch.
A visitation will be held for Joseph to celebrate his life from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 3, 2018 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Burial will be private.

Mr. Kline "Joe" was my teacher and good friend while attending high school(class of 1980) and after graduation. What an excellent and outstanding teacher he was ! Joe was always very down to earth and taught every student as if it was his own child. I will always remember Joe as a mentor in my life, God Bless and rest in peace .
