Joseph Rutter Obituary
COLUMBIA
Joseph E. Rutter, Jr., 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
He was born in Baltimore, Md., son of Lillian S. Weaver Rutter of Columbia and the late Joseph E. Rutter, Sr.
He worked in the laundry at St. Anne's Retirement Community before his retirement. He was of the Catholic faith and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trains, which he collected. He was a life member of Foresters of America and a member of Catholic War Veterans, Post 1306.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are four brothers, Robert (Ruthann) Palacios if Yorkana, Gary R. (Willette) Rutter of Fountain, N.C., Gregory A. Rutter (companion, Lisa Lehr) of Manchester, and Steve Rutter of Columbia; and one sister, Tracy L. (Ray) Kauffman of Frenchville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Lee Rutter.
A private service will be held for the family.
Contributions may be made in his memory to Caring Hospice Services, 101 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
