Larry Bailey Obituary
York - Larry A. Bailey, Sr., 86, entered into rest Monday February 8, 2021 at Manor Care North. He was the husband of Catherine A. (Dietz) Bailey for 58 years.
A viewing will be 9-10 a.m. Monday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 2114 West Market St. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Dentler officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
Mr. Bailey was born November 22, 1934 in York, a son of the late John E. and Lettie A. (Hetrick) Bailey. He served in the US Army and was employed at Annaconda Continental Wire and Cable, and later at First Capital Wire and Cable. He also worked part-time at the York Fairgrounds. He was a member of the Electrical Workers Union and the Starview Sportsmen's Association. He had coached baseball for the West York Boys Club, and was a Leader with Cub Pack and Boy Scouts Troop 140.
Larry is survived by his wife; children James A. Bailey, Larry A. Bailey, Jr. and his wife Dale, Scott A. Bailey and his wife Michelle, Jeff A. Bailey; grandchildren Candy A. Sipe and her husband Robert, Heather Robinson and her husband Cain, Scotty Bailey, Allen J. Bailey; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. He was the last-surviving of 4 children.
