Megan Elizabeth Mccomas Graham, 59, the daughter of Dorothy Ann Cook Mccomas Matthews and the late Stanley Mccomas was born on August 3, 1957 in Bucyrus, OH, lived in Pittsburgh, and later moved to York by her mother and father. Our beloved Megan transitioned from this earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Walter Lee Graham of York, with whom she shared 27 years of marriage.
A graduate of York Suburban High School in 1975, she played the cello with the school Orchestra, sang in the Choir and participated in intramurals musicals. She attended York College and obtained her four year degree in 1979. She was employed as an office manager by K-mart Corporation in York and later in Columbia for 42 years.
Megan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York. She served as treasurer for York Junior Symphony, Central Middle School Boosters and Central High School Boosters, Troop 25 Boys Scout, Penn Oak Swim Club along with being an active board member. She served with an undeniable passion. Megan loved bowling and was an avid reader. She enjoyed going on bus trips to Atlantic City. When weather permitted, Megan loved taking in a view of the ocean and feeling the gentle breeze while watching the waves come ashore. Cherished most of all by Megan, spending time with family and friends.
The Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church located at 225 E. Market Street, York. The Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 a.m. Reception will commence at 12 noon.
Megan leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Walter; and a son, Tyler Graham; mother, Dorothy Ann Cook Mccomas Matthews; brother, Don Mccomas, wife CiCi and nephew, George. To all the Cook family members of Pittsburgh, Megan also leaves to cherish her memory, uncle Ted Cook, John and wife, Lori Cook and their children, AJ and Alex. She also leave to cherish her memory the Recchion family, Dave and wife, Maryanne Recchion of Highpoint, SC and their children, Timothy, Jordan and Becca. She will be greatly missed by all members of the Graham family which includes, Dave and Lily Graham of York, Barbara Graham of Airville, Samuel Graham of York, Kelly Graham of York and Betty Graham Cross of Gettysburg; along with a host of nieces; nephews; and close friends who loved her.
