Robert E. Landis, 75, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Rose M. (McClellan) Landis.
Born in York on February 9, 1942, Bob was the son of the late Edgar R. Landis, Sr. and Anna Mary (Shelly) Landis. He served honorably in the U.S. Army earning the rank of Corporal.
The celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St, York, with the Rev. Carlos Kelly officiating. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. this evening and one hour prior to service. Burial with full military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Mr. Landis is survived by three children, Michelle Bailey and husband, Scott, Sean Landis, all of York and Danielle Gracey and husband, Melvin, Jr. of Dover; grandchildren, Candy and Robert Sipe, Heather and Cain Robinson, Rebekah Landis, Scott Bailey II, Austin and Melanie Gracey; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Peyton Sipe, Cayden Burt and Dylan Robinson; six brothers, Edgar R. Landis, Jr., John E., Frank D., Terry S., Harry F. and Charles E. Landis, all of York; four sisters, Nancy A. Wertz, Betty J. Landis, Brenda Eckenrode, all of York and Joyce L. Lentz of Seven Valleys; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, William E. Landis; two brothers, Michael L. and Gregory S. Landis; and one sister, Deborah D. Landis.
