Rollin Walp Obituary

Rollin “Ron“ D. Walp, 41, died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at his home. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place at White Rose Crematorium, to be followed by a Celebration of Life visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Workinger-Semmel F.H. and Crematorium Inc., 849 E. Market St. Mr. Walp was born Nov. 28, 1961, in Hazelton, Luzerne County. He was the son of Rose (Rossi) Walp of Drums and the late Rollin E. Walp. Mr. Walp was an engineer with A.T.&T., Thomasville, for 16 years. Mr. Walp was a graduate of Hazelton High School, class of 1979; graduate of Williamsport Community College, class of 1981; and a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown, class of 1988. He was a member of West Manchester V.F.W. Post 7374. Ridge Runners Hunting Lodge, Unity Valley, Pa. Mr. Walp also is survived by one sister, Beth Ann Walp Yelenoc and brother-in-law, George P. Yelenoc of York; one niece, Alexandra; grandmother, Florence Rossi; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
