Roy McAdams Obituary
During World War II and in postwar Germany from 1944-1946, he served in the European Theater as a member of the U.S. Army, 83rd Division. He retired from Union Camp Corp., where he served as a supervisor. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, Seymour.
Born Feb. 15, 1923, in Stamps, Ark., he was the son of Walter Cornelius and Donna (Donahue) McAdams. On Feb. 23, 1951, at Bastrop, La., he married Daisy Florence (Williamson) McAdams, who survives.
Survivors include his sons, Douglas (Kristie) McAdams, Garry (Sherry) McAdams, Steven (Diane) McAdams, and Mitchell (Suzanne) McAdams; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margie O'Meara.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Walter McAdams; and three sisters, Bessie Mae Higdon, Claudine Bacheler and Dee Chapman.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Voss Chapel in Seymour with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
All services have been entrusted to Voss Funeral Service and Tri-County Crematory in Seymour.

Dear daisy, I'm so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I can't begin to imagine how much you will miss him as you had almost twice the amount of time I had with mike. Over seven years have gone by and I still miss him, daily. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope you can eventually find peace.
