Ruth Morgan Obituary

NEW OXFORD Ruth E. Morgan, 96, of New Oxford formerly of Endwell, N.Y., and Scranton, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Cross Keys Village in New Oxford. She was the widow of Roland E. Morgan, who died on July 13, 2007. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Ethel Mae (French) Mellon. She graduated from Central High School and devoted her life to raising her family. Ruth was an active participant in Child Evangelism Fellowship and an ardent supporter of church missions. As a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, she participated in the widow's Bible Study and was active at Cross Key Village's Jolly Crafters. Ruth is survived by her daughter: Judith Ellen Morgan of Exton; her sons: Ronald Earl Morgan and his wife Betsy of Ardmore and Paul Charles Morgan and his wife Cathy of Dillsburg; her grandchildren: Peter, Kara and Kyle Morgan, Tim Morgan and his wife Deb, and Kelle Alonso and her husband Dan; her great grandchildren: Lucy, Lily and Maddie Alonso and Drew and Ben Morgan; her sisters in law: Betty Cogliser of Lubbock, Texas, Joan Thorpe of Clarks Summit and brother-in-law Sanford Robbins. Interment will be private in Washburn Street Cemetery in Scranton. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, on October 15th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Ave, Hanover, Pa 17331; or Cross Keys Village Good Samaritan Fund, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, Pa 17350. I'm so sorry to hear your Mom Pasted. Rollie and Ruth were such good people. I know she will be happy with Rollie now. My wife Joan and I really enjoyed both of them. I hope they can visit in heaven.
