Ruth A. (Wetzel) Mundorf, 76, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Robert E. Mundorf, Jr. of York.
Mrs. Mundorf was born in York on December 1, 1939, daughter of the late Chester O. and Arlene G. (Zech) Wetzel.
She was a member of the former St. Paul's United Methodist Church, now Calvary United Methodist Church of York. Ruth was a past Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women's Group at the church, in addition to being a past Girl Scout Leader, Cub Pack Leader and a member of the PTA.
Ruth enjoyed knitting / sewing, adult coloring, shopping and especially Avon products.
In addition to her husband, survivors include, a daughter, Peggy S. Mundorf, and a son, Scott G. Mundorf, both of York; three grandchildren, Andrew R. Mundorf, Joshua M.A. Steinmetz and Jessica A. Mundorf; four great-grandchildren, Robert S. Steinmetz, Hailey M. Bosworth, Aahz S.D. Steinmetz and Rayla A. Klinzmann; and a brother, Richard Wetzel of York.
There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Ruth's memorial service will immediately follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Officiating will be her pastor, Tonya Brubaker. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
