Samuel Thomas Atkinson, 79, passed away on September 15, 2017. Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Funeral Home in Abingdon, MD on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m., Masonic Services at 7 p.m., and on Saturday, September 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service to immediately follow.

So very saddened to learn of Sam's passing. Although, I have only known Sam for a little over ten years, we became very close as a result of membership in the Tall Cedars of North America. Sam was a role model for me and an inspiration for many fellow Tall Cedars. We will miss him greatly. Sincere sympathies to Helen and the family.

Helen, I am so sorry to hear of Sams passing. What a special person he was. He always had a smile and hug for me. It was an honor sharing the clown spot light with Sam at the Fall Fest last year. He was the best.
