Sarah M. Myers

Sarah M. "Betty" Myers, 81, died 12:45 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004 at her home. She was born April 5, 1923 in Jackson Township, a daughter of the late G. Walter Hamm and Sara J. (Jacobs) Hamm Sherman. Betty retired in 1989 from Graham Packaging where she was a laborer. She later worked as a greeter for East York WalMart until 2001. She is survived by two sons, James M. Myers and Stephen S. Myers, both of York; a daughter, Peggy Jean Howard of York; a grandson, Chad Howard of York; a granddaughter, Kelly Reid of York; a great-granddaughter, Natalia Dull of York; two great-grandsons, Dashan and Darren Reid of York; a sister, Maye E. Nock of York; and two brothers, Floyd L. Hamm of York, and Clarence M. Hamm of Dover. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Danny L. Dull, in 2001. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral at 1 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2004 and the viewing from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Paradise Holtzschwamm Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Loser, pastor of Dover United Church of Christ.
