Brenda - Even though many years have passed since we went to York Township and Dallastown High, we never forget the many people that we met. I will always remember seeing you and Scott together - it seemed like you were always together. My Mom and Dad told me about Scott's illness. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have gotten to know Scott when my father Carl Sillib was a member of the Loganville Fire Co. I know that your family has gone through a lot of pain, I was once in the same position five years ago when I lost my dad to the same diagnosis. It is hard to let go of the person you love so dearly and have spent so much time and love with. As your heart aches for the loss your heart also grows stronger for the memories you onced shared. Always remember the good times, the positives and the memories. My deepest sympathy to your family.

Brenda, Mandy, Travis, Stan&Nona,
I am finally getting my cards out to you this evening. I wanted to write a short note in each of them to simply say some things that I could not say in person. I wrote the notes with out the help of spell check, or typed words to correct my sloppy handwriting. I have been trying to write these notes to each of you for the last several days. I finally finished them before the service today. As I read them before mailing them, some of the things I mentioned were spoken about at the ceremony. We were all blessed to have had Scott to be a part of our lives. Your entire family has dealt with the events that unfolded with dignity and grace.

Stan,Nona, Brenda, Mandy, Travis and rest of family members I had known Scott and his family from the time I started my 4-H career. He always had a smile on his face and would say hello to you everytime he saw you. I had watched the kids grow in the Loganville 4-H Community Club and they always had Scott and Brenda's support in everything they did. He will be sadly missed in the community. He will be looking down and watching over the orchards like he had done for many years. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincerest sympathy to the family. I did not know Scott personally, but I worked with Brenda's sister, Betty, and she used to talk about Brenda and Scott and sometimes I felt like I did know them.

Stan,Nona,Brenda,Mandy,Travis and family members,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Scott was a great man and touched so many lives with his caring and giving ways. He will be greatly missed. I use to work in the deli but am misplaced for now. Every now and then I reflect back on my deli days and I have to smile, because Scott also had the patience of a Saint when it came to me making his sandwiches. We would talk so much that I would make his order wrong and then he would have to come back again. I use to tease him about letting me make his next order. He just always smiled and was very polite about it and that is how I will always remember him.

Respectfully Yours,

Stan, Nona, Brenda, Mandy, Jared, and Travis....

Scott was an inspiration to me with his fine dedication to his family, work and community service. He seldom complained about anything. He was such a joy & a pleasure to work with and for.

His earthly presence will be missed by all. Please think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, (he touched many) for nothing loved is ever lost.
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you!

Travis -
I was saddened to hear of your loss this morning when I arrived at school. I pray that your strength and courage will carry you through the challenging days ahead.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Scott always had a smile and a warm greeting. What an inspiration he was! Scott's spirit is with our Heavenly Father now, do not despair as it is written that we shall all be reunited when we stand before God on judgement day. Take solace in the fact that many people prayed for Scott and we continue to pray for your family.

To the Brown Family,

As a teenager I worked for Scott's grandparents, Earl and Margaret. I remember when Scott's parents, Stanley and Nona first got married. Scott was blessed to come from a wonderful family. I didn't know Scott personally, but he was so very kind to my sister, Virginia Beck, whose property borders the orchards. He would always bring her the first pickings of the various fruits and tell her to help herself to fruit that had fallen to the ground. My sympathy to the whole family. May you all find comfort in knowing what a special person her was and that now he is with God.

Family and Friends,

I would like to express my sincere thank you to all for your thoughts and prayers over the last 16 months. It was a comfort to Scott, Mandy and Jared, Travis and myself. Scott was a wonderful man and I loved him unconditionally and my heart is broken. As a family,we chose from the beginning to remain positive and will continue to with God by our side and the knowledge that Scott will keep busy nurturing the orchards in heaven until we are together again some day. Love to all. Brenda

To a previous co worker who will be missed by many. Scott was a very hard worker at the market, he always said hi no matter how busy he was. April 3, 2005 exceptional man, husband, son, brother, and most important to all - an exceptional friend. I so enjoyed our talks and appreciated the time you took to share your dreams with me - especially when we shared my little camper and my experiences with it! Scott will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. A man of dignity and respect, both given and received. His legacy will live on and his hand will be forever guiding the Brown's Orchards. My love to the whole family, as always, Nancy
