Stephen Zech Obituary

WEST YORK Stephen C. Zech, 58, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012. Born in York, on July 22, 1953, he graduated from William Penn Sr. High School with the Class of 1971. Steve is the son of Beverly Swartz and the late Carl Zech. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a beloved daughter and son, Angela and Benjamin, graduates of West York Senior High School. He is also survived by his stepfather, Frank Swartz; brothers, Timothy Zech and Frank Swartz, II; sister, Rebecca Dorm; and several nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by a brother, John Swartz. A private service will be held on Sunday, March 18. Please contact family for details. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.

I have very fond memories of Steve and his family when we were 'neighbors' in Illinois. I remember his guitar playing and singing songs. He was always cheerful and energetic, a lot of fun to be with. My sympathies to Angela, Ben and Steve's family.

I remember all of our "Charade parties" Steve was definately the loudest and most fun!! It wouldn't have been the same without him. I also remember Steve's kind and caring ways. My heart goes out to his family.
