Steve was a close friend for a long while when we were in HS, and for several years after. We began a cross county adventure on a greyhound bus in '79, with backpacks, and $500 each, bound for Phoenix Arizona. After a year of challenges for both of us, Steve decided to return to York while I remained on to continue my adventure.

We lost touch with each other, as I have with most of my HS frie...nds from so many years ago. I have thought of Steve often over the years but failed to keep in touch with him. This is a strong regret.

Although I have made many other friends over the years, from many different places...there has been noone quite like Steve. I remember his smile, his open friendship, and his strong spirit. I consider the many people he must have impacted over the years, and wish I could have participated.

Steve was a great guy with a friendly smile. I still remember him helping me at that old hardware store, as well as running into him in the strangest places.
Godspeed on your newest journey.
