William E. Dressel

EAST PROSPECT William E. Dressel, 70, died on Monday April 27, 2015 at Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in York on May 20, 1944 he was the son of the late Paul L. and Kathleen (Miller) Dressel. He was employed by Dressel Welding Supply for 40 years. As a young man Bill was in a band and played saxophone and clarinet. He is survived by his children, Paul L. Dressel, II and his wife Cheryl of Columbia, Dawn D. Miller and her husband Mark of York; three granddaughters, Brittany Hershey, Amy Peters, and Charley Lehr; three great grandchildren; two brothers, John Dressel of York, Robert Dressel of Columbia; a sister, Elizabeth Myers of Windsor; and was preceded in death by a sister Janet Snyder and a brother James Dressel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 2, 2015 at Rudy Park, the Douglas Fir Pavilion, 400 Mundis Race Road, York, PA 17406 between 2 and 5 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring their appetite as food will be served.
