Catherine Wheeler Obituary
Shrewsbury - Catherine R. Wheeler, 83, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Wheeler.
Born in Baltimore she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Catherine (Kirby) Rider. Catherine was a secretary for several years at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Baltimore and loved reading, spending time with her family, and making friends with her neighbors at the Courtyards at Shrewsbury. She had a love for animals and supported the SPCA. Catherine attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom and her faith was very important to her.
She will be remembered with love by her three sons Randolph C. Wheeler and wife Jeda Taylor, David G. Wheeler and wife Diane, and Brian J. Wheeler and wife Ramona; six grandchildren Matthew, Liam, Rowan, Sarina, Arden, and Rider Wheeler. Catherine was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Rogers.
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 4PM from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc, 24 N. Second St., New Freedom with Deacon Matthew Cannon. Interment will be private. A visitation with her family will be held from 2PM until the time of her memorial service at the funeral home. www.HartensteinCares.com
