Daniel Joseph Gauthier, age 76, of McCool Junction, Neb., died Thursday, October 23, 2025, in McCool Junction. He was born on February 28, 1949, to Ernest and Mary Helen (Crowley) Gauthier, in Grand Island, Neb.
Daniel was a teacher in the McCool Junction school system. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in York.
He is survived by his brother, John Gauthier of Kearney, Neb.; sister, Suzanne Gauthier of Grand Island, Neb.; uncle, Francis (Sheri) Gauthier of Grand Island; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in York, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be at 2 p.m. in the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, Neb. Daniel has been cremated. There is no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to McCool Junction High School sports.
