Deborah Eileen (Debbie) Briese, age 68 died Jan. 8, 2021 at Paradise Gardens Residential Care Service in Bakersfield, Calif.
She was born on Sept.17, 1952 to Charles and Donna Kizzire at Bridgeport. She was baptized and confirmed into the Community of Christ Church. She attended school at The Hill School District 44 and Bayard High School. After High School she attended Business School in Grand Island receiving her degree in secretarial studies. While at Business School she met Mark Briese. They married on April 18, 1971. To this union three children were born.
Debbie was a mother and stay at home mom before beginning her work career. She worked in Gering before they moved to Bradshaw. She worked at Lichti TV and Appliance, Northern Ag., Plains Power and Equipment, Pleasant Hill Grain and Walmart before retiring in 2016. She enjoyed an active church life. She served as Pastor of Grand Island Community of Christ. She enjoyed her yard flowers, dragon flies, birds, and family. She had two special friendships in Kathy and Nancy among all her friends.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Mark of 49 years married; children, Brent A (Chasity) Briese of Bakersfield, Calif., Dawn A (Tim) McILravy of York and Tracy G. Rasmussen of Bradshaw; granddaughters, Courtney and Sierra Rasmussen; step-granddaughters, Chelsea (Kody) Lotton of Chadron, Jackie (Nate) Lucas of York; brother, Douglas (Lorraine) Kizzire of Bayard; many nieces and nephews and two step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas (Beverly) Briese of Elk Point, S.D., Larry Briese of Dallas, Texas, Elsie (Donald) Fast of O'Neil, Sarah (Mike) Fuller of Lincoln and Ray Briese of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts, and uncles.

Condolences on your loss. Deb was a wonderful lady who loved her family and was always friendly and as Chuck and Jackie said, exemplified the Christian spirit. She was warm and caring with a sense of humor, too. I join with many others, I'm sure, in cherishing her memory.
