Gale Arthur Radcliff

Gale Arthur Radcliff, age 82 of York, Neb. died Friday, November 28, 2025 at Stanton, Neb. He was born November 6, 1943 in York to Howard and Pearl (Friesen) Radcliff. He graduated from York High School in 1961 and went directly to an FBI internship in Washington DC where he met his sweetheart, Eileen (Ricke). They spent a year in DC and then moved to Titusville, Pa. where Eileen's family lived. In 1963, they got married in a small intimate family ceremony. In 1965, they welcomed their first son Mark Alan Radcliff in Pennsylvania. They then moved back to York and welcomed their second son Brian Gale Radcliff. Three years later they added a final son, Brent Douglas Radcliff to the family. Throughout the years the family lived in North Bend, North Platte, Holdredge, York, Arizona and Colorado. When Gale retired as an Exterminator from Presto X in 2012. They returned to Nebraska and lived in York, where Gale's family resided. Friday nights were nights out with Gale's family. Gale worked at the York Airport to make some additional income, he also enjoyed watching his grandsons play ball and travel to Florida to see his granddaughters.
Gale was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in York. He worked as a volunteer at the Senior Center helping with taxes. Gale also enjoyed anything with airplanes and flying-he had his pilot's license.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eileen of Stanton; sons, Mark (Christine) Radcliff of Dodge, Neb., Brian (Erika) Radcliff of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Brent (Tamiko) Radcliff of Bella Vista Ark. His grandchildren include Brittany (Jeremy) Inge of Trenton, Texas, Carson (Lena Eschiti) Radcliff of Kearney, Neb., Gabby Radcliff and Sadie Radcliff both of Bella Vista, and Garrett Radcliff of Dodge; and great-grandchildren, Hazel McDowell of Glendale, Ariz. and Kayden Inge of Trenton, Texas. Also surviving is his twin brother, Dale (Cheryl) Radcliff of York; and his sister, Carol Jean Thiele, also of York. Gale also has several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends that he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Mick Thiele.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Trudy Hanke officiating. Burial will be in York's Greenwood Cemetery following services. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday with his family greeting friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. that same evening at the mortuary in York. Memorials to his family for later designation.
