Jeannie Baldwin Obituary

ROCKINGHAM — Jeannie A. Baldwin, 87, of Rockingham passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 13, 1938 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Amasa and Lilia Campbell Alden.

Jeannie retired from Richmond Memorial Hospital with over 30 years of service as a lab technician. She was a member of Green Lake United Methodist Church, where she was the pianist for many years. She will always be remembered for her love of coffee, baseball, and her family.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Green Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor Terry Cornelius officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:30 P.M. prior to the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Baldwin, and six of her sisters, Marguerite Rivers, Doris Smith, Betty Jo Foley, Peggy Taylor, Elsie Edmunds, and Patsy Smith.

Surviving her husband of 69 years, William "Carey" Baldwin: A son, Gregg (Tonya) of Rockingham, NC; her daughter-in-law, Connie (Billy); and her sister, Priscilla Lewis of Marston, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matt Baldwin (Catelyn) of Ellerbe, NC; Scotty Baldwin (Ashley) of Hamlet, NC; Chase Baldwin (Mandy) of Concord, NC; and Jill Kelley (Zach) of Fayetteville, NC.

Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Kennedy Baldwin, Memphis Baldwin, Lilly Baldwin, Clay Baldwin, Parker Kelley, Bristol Baldwin, Davis Kelley, Beau Baldwin, and Adilyn Baldwin.
