DILLON — Rodney G. Boyette, 74, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Cooper Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Jamie Arnette. Visitation will be after the service.
Born in Rockingham, NC, December 21, 1950, he was the son of the late Raymond Boyette, Jr. and Myra Gaskins Boyette. He was a member of Dillon First Baptist Church for 42 years, owner of Boyette Frame Shop, worked with Perdue for 10 years, and was a retired manager of transportation at South Carolina Department of Education.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Janet Kelsey Boyette of Dillon; sister, Susan Boyette of Rockingham, NC; son, Christopher Scott Boyette of Alabama; granddaughter, Aubrianna Faith Boyette; stepchildren, Larry Randolph Brown, II (Stephanie) of Texas and Shannon Lynn Brown of California.
Memorials may be made to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 111, Dillon, SC 29536 or to the Dillon First Baptist Church, 400 North 4th Avenue, Dillon, SC 29536.

My brother Roger and I graduated with Rodney in the Rockingham High School class of 1969. Rod was recognized in "The Rocket," the 1969 yearbook, as the Most Talented senior.
