She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Surviving are her daughter, Sherry Huggins Harden and husband Clyde, of Lexington, Virginia; granddaughter, Meagan Harden McGuire and husband William Michael; great-granddaughter, Annabelle Kate McGuire; an expected great-grandson in August, all of Staunton, Virginia; brother, Johnny Richard Hooks and sister-in-law Linda Wilson Hooks, both of Rockingham, North Carolina.

Dear Sherry, I wanted to let you know how much your Mom & Daddy meant to me and Gilbert, Shannon & Justin. We loved them very much, When Justin was saved at home I asked your Mom to talk to him during Sunday school to make sure he understood what he did asking Jesus into his heart and she did and for that I am forever greatfull.
