STEPHEN GIBSON Obituary
STEPHEN GIBSON
On December 13, 2023, Sergeant Detective Stephen Lee Gibson, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, friend, and mentor, passed away at the age of 53. Stephen was born in Arlington, TX on October 15, 1970, the youngest son to Charles Roy Gibson and Pamela Starkey Carrigan. He lived in Glen Rose, TX for 50 years, in the same house that he grew up in.
He was a true leader and connected with many in his community. He was a loving husband to Stephanie for 34 years, and a devoted father to Tejal and Tyson. God and family were the most important foundations of his life. His faith was a strong influence to his family.
Stephen has always been a natural born protector and encouraged those he loved to be strong, loving and prepared for anything.
He made law enforcement his career and has seen it all. The good and the bad of it helped shape him into the man and officer he became. He has worked with many people over the years, each of them leaving a lasting impression in his life.
He was very proud of "his guys" and loved nothing more than to run and gun with them on the ranges he created on The Land. He always talked about new ideas he had for training drills so they could be ready for any situation. This was his passion.
Stephen was a "GREAT" man with so much love to give. He had an overwhelming presence that drew you to him and you were a better person for loving or just knowing him.
