Judy Barwick Obituary

Judy Karen (Wilson) Barwick was born on December 3, 1949, in Henryetta, to Vincent and Hazel Wilson. She passed away on August 20, 2025, in Oklahoma City, surrounded by her loved ones.

Judy grew up in Okmulgee, and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1967. On May 26, 1968, she married the love of her life, Jerry Barwick, in Miami. Together, they built a life in Pond Creek before settling in Oakwood in 1978. Judy faithfully supported Jerry with their business, E-Z Way Roustabouts Service, while also working on the family farm. She later worked at 3M in Weatherford and Wheeler Brothers in Greenfield, retiring in 2005.

After retirement, Judy moved to Yukon, where she became an active member of Stable Rock Baptist Church. Having accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age, her faith was a guiding force throughout her life.

Judy was the heart of her family and the spark of every gathering. Known for her fun-loving spirit, she enjoyed hand sewing baby quilts as cherished keepsakes for her loved ones. She was also an enthusiastic fan of her favorite teams-the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Above all, Judy's greatest joy was her family. She and Jerry had four children-Melissa, Jerry Don, Kari, and Lori-and her legacy lives on in the generations that follow.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Hitt and husband Randy of Lawton; Kari Barwick and significant other Shawn Slayton of Wills Point, TX; and Lori Barwick of Oklahoma City. She leaves behind eight grandchildren-Amber, Lucas and wife Dominee, Carijo and husband Mark, Colton and husband Cooper, Kailey and husband Kolby, Kyle and wife Mariah, McKenna, and Emma-and twelve great-grandchildren: Ava, Dax, Riot, Mikah, Little Mark, Cambri, Hudson, Enslee, Kinlee, Bayleigh, Kylen, and Carleigh. She is also survived by her sister Peggy, her brother Ron, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Barwick; her parents, Vincent and Hazel Wilson; her son, Jerry Don; her granddaughter, Shalee; and her sister, Betty.

Judy will be remembered as a woman of faith, joy, and boundless love-a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her laughter, warmth, and generosity will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.

Viewing and funeral were held in August. Family was cared for by Yanda and Sons Funeral Home in Yukon.
