JOAN MYERS-ANDERSON 05/01/1958 - 10/30/2025 Joan Marie Myers-Anderson, 67, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Rockwall, Texas. Born on May 1, 1958, Joan dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her personal life and through her professional work on the cardiac floor at Doctors Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Joan was a graduate of Stephenville High School and furthered her education at Tarleton State University and El Centro Community College in Dallas, where she earned her RN degree. Her career was marked by a deep commitment to her patients, driven by an innate compassion that also defined her personal interactions. Known for her kindness, Joan was deeply loved for her ability to connect with people and her unwavering care for animals. She raised several dogs, including mastiffs, an Irish Setter, and her beloved poodle, Ellie Mae, who was a loyal companion for 22 years. Joan is survived by her daughter, Heather Elliott; son, Heath Elliott; mother, Jerry Lindley; sister Mary Ann Ray and her spouse Kevin; sister Jane McClellan and her spouse Alan; Melinda Myers-Betik and her spouse Larry; and brother, Scott Myers. She was preceded in death by her father, Jolly Myers. Viewing was held on November 6, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall. The funeral service followed on November 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation in memory of Joan, honoring her compassionate spirit.
