JOAN WILSON Services for Joan LaRay (Boone) Wilson, 84, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Stephenville with Dr. Ken May officiating. Burial followed at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements were by Lacy Funeral Home. Joan was born in San Angelo, Texas, on September 9, 1939, to Ray C. Boone and Jessie Mildred Phillips. She married Fred N. Wilson, Jr. on August 29, 1959, in Tehuacana, Texas. Joan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stephenville. She loved her family and prided herself on making her house a home for each of them. Joan also worked various times and places as a secretary and administrative assistant. Joan was a world traveler and made her home in several different countries. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with and making happy memories with family and friends. Her absolute pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Fred N. Wilson, Jr.; children, LaRay Adame and husband, Jessie of Kingwood, Texas; and Jay Wilson and wife, Cheryl of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Giselle Adame of Houston, Texas; Samuel Adame and wife, Lorretta, of Houston, Texas; and Vincent Adame of Houston, Texas; and great-grandchild, Luna, Adame of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son, Freddy Wilson; grandson, Damon Jay Wilson, and brother, Bob Boone. Memorials may be made to the Fosters Home For Children, 1779 N.
