KENNETH DALE RAMMING

KENNETH DALE RAMMING NOVEMBER 1, 1925 ~ APRIL 19, 2024 (AGE 98) Almighty God in His infinite wisdom and mercy, has called Kenneth Dale Ramming, home to heaven. Kenneth was a baptized child of God and confirmed in his faith at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hinton, Oklahoma. Kenneth remained His faithful servant throughout his life. He witnessed his strong faith daily and was an active participant in many church groups and congregations: Braille Bible books, congregation trustee, AAL Lamplighters, congregational officer and Laborers for Christ. Over the years his love of woodworking produced hundreds of crosses and religious wall art which he gladly gave away. His strong faith is an enduring example for his children. Kenneth was born November 1, 1925, on a farm 6 miles southeast of Hinton, Oklahoma, to Mary Belle and Albert (Allie) Ramming. On November 8, he was baptized in the name of the Triune God at St. John Lutheran. He married LaVerna Constien on June 6, 1948, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hinton, Oklahoma. They celebrated 71 years of marriage before LaVerna's death in 2019. They owned a restaurant in Hinton where he also worked for Hinton Lumber Company. The family moved from Hinton to Odessa, Texas in 1958. Kenneth worked and managed White House Lumber Company until his retirement in 1989. In 1999, they moved to Georgetown, Texas, where he was an active member of Faith Lutheran. At the age of 90, Kenneth and LaVerna moved to Stephenville, Texas, where they were members of Faith Lutheran Stephenville. In December of 2022, Kenneth moved to Columbus, Georgia. Survivors include their children, Linda and her husband George Leitner of Galveston, Texas; Wayne and wife Carolyn Ramming of Columbus, Georgia; Cindy Ramming, daughter-in-law of Stephenville, Texas; and Howard Ramming of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Amy, Lucas, Joshua, Rachel, Rebecca, and Ryan; ten great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Barbara Constien of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Arvella Calder of New Braunfels, Texas; brother-in-law, Larry Constien of Tulsa, Oklahoma and nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerna; his son, Arnold Ramming; his parents; brother, Oscar Ramming; brothers-in law, Virgil, Marvin, and Leonard Constien, and sister-in-law, Verlene Ayers.
