LINDA LAVON PARTAIN JUNE 13, 1948-DECEMBER 11, 2023 Linda LaVon Partain, 75, of Stephenville, Texas, died Monday, December 11, 2023, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville Texas. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Stephenville Funeral Home. Linda was born on June 13, 1948, in Pecos, Texas to Joe Lee and Von Delle McMahon. She grew up in Balmorhea near where her parents owned a cattle feed lot business. Linda graduated from Balmorhea High School and received her bachelor's degree in education at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. She later completed her master's degree at Tarleton State University. Linda taught in the Texas public school system throughout her career with the majority of those years working in the Hico ISD. She also worked as a counselor in Hamilton County for the latter part of her career. Linda and Richard McCleskey were married on August 20, 2011, in Stephenville. She loved spending time with family and attending her grandchildren's activities. She was active in Valley Grove Baptist Church, and she loved her Hearts and Hands Sunday School class. Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Partain, parents Joe Lee and Von McMahon, and brother Joey McMahon. She is survived by a large and loving family. Survivors include her husband Richard McCleskey; children Greg Lundgren, and wife Stacey, Cydni Morton, and husband David, Wayne Partain, and wife Cori, Cody Partain, and wife Katie, Tim Partain, and wife Melissa, Tony Partain, and wife Adriana, Mindy McCleskey, and Mack McCleskey, and wife Amy; grandchildren Madison Kephart, and husband Quade, Brooks Lundgren, Jayci Morton, Brady Morton, and wife Haley, Case Morton, Ryan Partain, Ty Partain, Matthew Partain, Jameson Partain, Kaitlyn Partain, Cooper Partain, Alyna Cox, Clark Partain, Colton Partain, Liam Partain, Sofia Partain, Lauren Pope, Emma Pope, Ryan McCleskey, and Camden McCleskey; and great grandson Carson Kephart.
