Carl Rasmussen Obituary

Carl James Rasmussen

December 22, 1945 - June 16, 2022

Carl James Rasmussen passed away peacefully on June 16, 2022 at the age of 76 at St. Joseph Hospital of natural causes. He was born in King City, CA December 22, 1945.

Carl was a resident of Wellton, AZ where he owned and operated Carl's Custom Designs. His reputation for creating steel works of art preceded him. He was a Master Fabricator and built what his mind imagined. He also owned the old Wellton Cafe for a time where he did most of the cookin.

Carl was a creative, loving and caring man. He was also a straight talker and an insightful, patient teacher. He was always up for the next project no matter the challenges. Listing everything Carl built from scratch could fill a book, but he was also a man of few words.

Carl is survived by his wife of 24 years Serina K. Rasmussen, his children, Doug and his wife Wendy, his daughter, Deena and her husband John, and the adult kiddo he adopted, Serina's daughter, Kristie and her spouse Val.

He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Alex, Deegan, and Chelsea. Carl's lap will be missed by his beloved puppy Sadie May. He also leaves behind an empty chair in the circle at the garage of his long time friend. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues.

Carl's Service will be held at the First Southern Baptist Church of Wellton, AZ at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
