Eileen Janney Obituary

Eileen Susan Janney

April 22, 1949 - December 9, 2025

Eileen "Sue " Janney , 76, of Yuma, AZ died Tuesday December 9, 2025.

She was a most beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister and friend. She was the kindest and most giving person to all she met and everyone she met loved her beautiful smile and kind soul.

She was born April 22, 1949 in Watervliet, Michigan to Columbus LaRovere and Doris Mae Daisy. She was one of 6 daughters.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Gerald C. Janney; her daughter and son-in Law, Michelle and Lee Larson; granddaughter, Brook Larson, and her loving sisters, Janice and Cindy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and daughter Julia Flowers.

She married the absolute love of her life, Gerald C. Janney on August 4, 1974. Their love story lasted until her last breath. They had a beautiful life together.

She loved bowling with her best friends Debbie Rivera, Kathy Wallner, and Diane Cuming. She really loved golfing (she was a great golfer) and she mostly loved being with her husband and family.

Her family called her "Nana". Our Nana was our life and will be so deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Her Celebration of Life will be in January 2026.

I would like to say a few things about my Sweet Sister Susie First of all she was the kindest, funniest, out going and loving Sister. She never met a stranger, people always said it felt like they had known her forever. The last time that Susie, Cindy and I were together was on a 11day cruise to the Caribbean,we had such a grand time. I will always remember her gregarious laugh and beautiful smile.Susie will always be in our heart and thoughts, I will miss you always. Love you

My beautiful friend. Sue was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside . That gorgeous and always ready smile for everyone. Debbie, Kathy & I will have our 2-3 hour lunch tomorrow and continue regularly but we will miss her. We have so many wonderful memories of our 30+ years of our bowling team and our trips to the tournaments. We passed sweet Brooke back and forth as our turns to bowl came up. Bowling was only our excuse to be there lol. Our REAL reason was to visit!!. RIP our dear friend and thanks for the memories. We love you

I´m going to miss you tremendously sis, you have always been a huge part of my life and that part is no longer with me, but I know that you´re in heaven with Jesus and all our family who have gone on before you and I know that someday I´m going to be with you again and we can rejoice in that.
We have had many travels together and you´ve always pushed me to do things. I was uncomfortable with such as going on the skywalk at the Grand Canyon and driving through the Rocky Mountains in Canada, (I am afraid of heights) so it was not comfortable for me, but I´m glad that I did it with you. I´m going to miss going on cruises with you and driving across the United States. Just having fun and being together.
You have always been such a good kind, giving, loving person and I wish that everyone could be like you, because the world would be a much better place.
My heart is broken and the only thing that makes me feel better is knowing that I will be with you again someday, rest in peace, my dear sister, I love you.
