Yesterday

Fred was a football coach at Kofa when we met. I was a ref and saw him over many years, he and dean stout. Powder puff football was fun.Fred was al ways interesting to talk to at meetings, at school, or at Chevron. Last talked in Prescott. He touched many students and left Yuma a better place and Prescott. RIP Fred.

Mr. Cupell was my teacher for Health Ed. & Junior/Senior powderpuff football coach at Kofa High School in Yuma, AZ-74/75. Students used to think I was related to him because our last names were pronounced the same. I still felt a special connection to him because he was not only an exceptional teacher & coach but after I had got involved in a provoked altercation outside of Health Ed. class, he always called me Tiger every time he saw me. I truly admired him & am so grateful for having the opportunity to know him. My sincerest condolences to all family & friends. I will never forget him.
